Some Lights [EDITED]

Last weekend at Oxford Street, we saw the lights on South Molton Street, which is a small boutique shopping lane next to Bond Street Station.

And an upshot (which you know is my favourite type!) of one of the angels right next to the station, part of which is in the building you see:

Does that satisfy those of you who were agitating for London piccies???

;)

[EDIT]

Still more? OK, this was the view from the window at 2 p.m. today:

The grey haze behind the church is actually the suburbs a few miles away. On a sunny day you can see the rooftops and a couple of fields.

There is a good case to be made for hibernation when it's like this every day...

Oh my... spectacular!!!

I wish I could spend my Christmas in London!!! Do you think I can ask it to Santa Claus as my Christmas present? :D

LB - Oh yes, the Apple Store on Regent Street is a great building. I'll have to wait for brighter daylight to get a good photo of it.

Dan - and these are all just from my phone camera, which admittedly is 1.3MP - but the next Sony Ericsson is a whole 5MP, the same as my giant Kodak baby-SLR!

Hugs

Selby - welcome, welcome. Hope it didn't take too long to load.

If you have been a very good girl this year, you never know, Santa might just listen to you ;)

I love London this time of year especially. Christmas on Oxford Streed, Bond Street, Picadilly Circus, etc all so wonderful. And Harrods...mmmmm

Liked that last picture - looked just like a typical day here in Cowley (Oxford). yes, hibernation does sound promising - but think of all that good food, wine and parties you'd miss out on! Mark (Cafe)

I love South Molton Street, it is the only sensible place to get breakfast or take coffee breaks if your shopping on that side of town! :)

What gorgeous lights and pictures! More more more I deplore of you! Do any of the churches have any interesting and pretty decor inside? Do check on this for me sweets!

Hope you had a lovely weekend, I'm done blogging for the morning as it is nearly 4am after a rather mellow weekend of taking cat naps, and being mellow and writing. So, it is time to pop one of my delicious pills and prepare for the days ahead...Do so hope you have a lovely week and do post more winter pictures!

Mark - well YOU'VE been hibernating!

Pete - St Christophers Lane on the other side of the street is even better.

***

Rick - thanks, I didn't wait for your permission anyhoo.

***

Kissy - oh the irony. I haven't been into a church in a while, funny you of all people would make me go!

Portland is making you hibernate, so what's special about London winter pics? Brrrrrr.

***

Minstrel - ah, you were one who asked? I supposed I should take more pics of lights. it's the only thing you can capture, as it's so dark otherwise!

What is so special about London winter photographs? My dear sweet child! It's the HISTORY of such a place. The relics and old buildings. Keep in mind, that Portland in of itself is only about 150 years old, and it is Oregon's largest city...we only just got a Tiffany and Co. not too long ago, now what does that tell you? I lived in Europe when I was a teenager, and loved the churches with all of the statues and paintings on the cielings...the baroque, the renaissance, etc..it fascinates me. I was in Germany during that Christmas, so it was quite lovely!

Edited? You're editing out photos?!
Actually, your hibernating shot makes me want to grab a hot chocolate.

Kissy - well, when you live here there is a lot less to enjoy! And less time to enjoy it when you're working.

I wish you could have the parts of my brain that did the art history degree!

It's always dark now, but hopefully I can take some pics this weekend as I'll be out and about in the day.

Nikki - ok, ok, I should have said [addendum]. But it IS edited in that I added the hibernation photo a few hours after posting the first part. Coo, gotta watch my language around you, eh?

My brother was telling me that in England work slows around Christmas...no wonder, with all those lovely Christmassy things to explore.
He said that people go out for dinner more, they go shopping, go to the theatres more. It sounds like tons of fun.

Fantastic photos. You have an eye for it, definitely!

Guyana Gyal - work slows around Christmas? Slows? Your brother must not work in finance, girlie.

I have less time now than I did last month, and they keep asking me if I can work on Christmas Eve morning, the 27th, 28th, and New Year's Eve morning. Ugh!

Beenzzz - thank you, that means so much. And thanks for stopping by on your hiatus :)
