Baby Tag

Being in the family way, Planethalder has tagged me for baby pics of myself and significant other. I chose one about the same age as the one she posted, but as I have no significant other, there is another one of even tinier me.

I was probably a year old here and just learning to walk. My theory is, being in a hurry to get out I was then in no hurry to grow.

The hair hasn't changed much...well, it's neater. What I am doing with my hand could be one of three things:
1) Greek Orthodox sign of blessing
2) Texas Longhorns team sign
3) Vulcan peace sign

Like a bag of sugar with spaghetti fingers and a somewhat transparent head. There are more here. I've seen these pics countless times but suddenly today I looked at them with new eyes, forgetting they were me, and I felt so sorry for that fragile little thing I nearly melted.

We have already seen Nikki's baby pics this year, so I tag ALL of you, come on, let's see eensy weensie you!

Oh! Look at that tiny you! I will have to dig up the one of tiny me. I had a full head of hair, much like you, only sticking up a lot more.

Awww! How cute! You look like a teeny naked kitten in the 2nd pic! Bless your little fragile delicate self! Hope you're having a good Friday - missed you on email, but have a good weekend, my curly friend xxx

LB - it would certainly account for my nerdy side!

***

Matt - Vinegar! Well that explains a lot...

P.S. Angostura RAWWWWWWWKS!

***

Nikki - hehe, I am laughing already and I haven't even seen it yet!

***

Pandy, my even curlier friend - After your kitten comment, I've had another look and sat there laughing - I've realised that the reason my leg is sticking up is because the nappy is so big!

xoxoxoxo

Planethalder - Thank you! I have just developed the theory that bigger babies have less hair than smaller ones.

***

Flighty - ah, we are missing out. You will have to make up for it by posting a picture of the most beautiful aircraft in the world. Do you accept this challenge? xx

Mmm okay! I think that it'll have to be a small selection though rather than a single picture. xx

Wow! You really were a tiny thing, weren't you?

I, on the other hand, was a 10-lb. monster who was born feet-first to boot! My mother was NOT a happy camper...

Don't you look sweet. The second picture reminds me of my baby Snarly or the twins. They all had tubes up their noses as well. Snarly hated it.

Sadly there are no surviving photographs of me as a baby. When my parents divorced they argued so much about who should have them. Now no-one knows where they are.

I'll have to ask my mother to scan some pictures of me when I was a baby and a toddler. I guess according to my family when I was a young'n, I smiled a lot and was happy but also extremely smart mouthed (go figure) and I am surprised on many levels they didn't understand my obsession with my mother's makeup...hmmm are we sensing a pattern? I'll try to get ahold of some for you so you can laugh...

Hope you have been feeling better. I woke up awfully early this morning and put on some classic Dizzy Gillespie jazz and fired up a ciggie and thought I should come and see what my gal is doing....Hope you are well! xoxo

awwww .. the first picture .. I could tell that it is you .. the resemblance is there.

The sign: you're an umpire in a cricket match and a batsman just got out.
