It's just...weird...

Have you ever had those days where you just can't wake up? I tried this morning at 9.30; next thing I knew it was 10. This went on until 12.30! I kept waking up and then going back to sleep and dreaming that I'd woken up. One time I dreamed that I was dreaming about waking up!
What was that all about?

It's reminding me of that episode of X-Files when Mulder and Scully are knocked out by mushroom spores and keep hallucinating about coming out of it.

I was under the influence of nothing at all. (PMS?)

**********

Yesterday afternoon I went out to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I am never one to gush over an actor, so you know I am unbiased when I say that Johnny Depp was fantabulous! His discomfort with people and situations was sublime. Every one of his lines and facial expressions had me giggling and snickering in my seat. I am surprised that not everyone shared my delight and sometimes I was the only one laughing.
Does that make me weird in a Roald Dahl sort of way?
(Um, including the dream this morning...)

Oh dreams are weird and then some! I love the moments, just as you're working your way back to consciousness when you know you are waking but you also know you are still sleeping.
Most bizarre... but wonderful feeling.

Don't worry, yes you are weird... but nobody knows yet.

Ah, welcome to my world. I experienced those awake/sleeping moments at UST, especially after many days of little sleep. They are less and less frequent these days.

I want to see the chocolate factory!!!

weird? Who isn't weird? Everyone has got their own little weirdness.

Jackal - yes, and it happens as you drift into oblivion too.

Vanessa - I get these episodes every now and then, but today's was the weirdest.

Yes, go and see Chocolate Factory!

Girl, if there's anyone you should gush over, it is Johnny. :) He was fabulously creepy in the movie, wasn't he? Such a great actor, but very modest about it.

Definitely have those dreams where I thought I'd woken. Your mind tells you that you should, but your body tells you otherwise. As long as you do wake up, I guess it's ok. :)

I loved Charlie and the Chocolate factory for the same reasons you did and more. I had no compunction about laughing out loud even if I was the only one. Yes, it does make you weird in a R.D. kinda way, but that is a super-cool weird. Like being super-smart and "getting" it weird. I liked Dep in "Pirates of the Caribbean" as well.

Yes, Jackal, yes, Olivia, those are surreal moments aren't they?

Why would you want to get up early on a Sunday anyway?
It was wasted effort if you ask me! ;)

Jia Li - yes, yes, go see it!

Alohalani - I'm glad you like the movie too :)

OJ - it wasn't the time that worried me, it was the weirdness.

I got up at 6:45 this morning for a dive, and drove 15 miles to the shop, and it was canceled.

That kind of sucks, but I like having the day to myself.
